Self Taught Artist
I became inspired to start practicing in the visual arts from 1998 as a result of my travels through Nth Europe in Mid 1997 as a Musician .
On returning to Melbourne from overseas I began working in the field of Photography & Large scale Drawing until exhibiting my work for the 1st time in Aug 1999.
Brandishing out into Sculpture and painting I have shown my works widely through out Victoria & Melbourne in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
Winning my first painting and sculpture awards in 2003
I consider that as a self taught artist I am on my own personnal path where by my works are predominatly autobiographical and attuned to my inner mind scape.
I still relish in dictating my own challenges and goals towards there out comes and hope to remain prolific in all my chosen meduims.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is a product of documenting my experience as a visual receptor .
Compressing situations and memory into the realm of the two dimension .
Conjured and triggered by a hightened state of emotional turmoil.
To Fine-tune the senses to dredge and submerg in the depths on my subconscious.
Real or Invented .
With Images and artifacts from previous incounters (Dreams or Nightmares)
Thrown on to the physical plane and captured within the four corners of a painting .
